Hi, 2025!

Happy New Year! 2025 is officially here, and I’m bursting with excitement as I kick off my second year in art. It feels like only yesterday I was nervously dipping but wee single toe into the art world, not knowing exactly what was ahead, pretty scared, but here we are — with a whole year of learning, growing, and creating under my belt. I’m so thrilled to have you all with me on this journey!

A big, giant, huge thank-you to each and every one of you who’s followed along with my work, supported me, and encouraged me as I’ve navigated this chaotic world of art. Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or just recently found your way to my corner of the internet, I’m so grateful that you’re here, reading along, and taking part in this adventure with me.

I’ve revamped my website and blog to make it a better space for engagement and community. My goal with the new site is to create a space where we can connect more deeply and where you can follow along with me on every step of my artistic journey. This blog will now serve as the heart of that space, a place where you can find new artwork, behind-the-scenes insights, upcoming events, and most importantly — a place where YOU can engage, share your thoughts, and be part of this whole wild thing. Many of you know that I’m not a fan of social media. I’ve tried. Really tried, but it’s so hard. I just can’t seem to get on board. I recognize its rather vital role in small business, though, so I plan to still keep accounts open on Instagram and Facebook and hope that something clicks. (Oof.)

What would you like to see here? Are you interested in art tips? Behind-the-scenes looks at my process? Or maybe you’d love to hear about upcoming projects or events? I’d love to tailor the content of this blog to what you want to read about. Your feedback means a lot to me, and I want this blog to be a place that sparks creativity and connection. Drop a comment or send me a message with your thoughts and suggestions!

Here’s to a year full of new ideas, new experiences, and, of course, plenty of paint-covered everythihng!

With excitement and gratitude,
Jessica

P.S. Stay tuned for the first new artwork reveal of the year — it’s coming soon! ✨
